We are counting down the days until Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials 2018. It’s one of our favourite events and Horse & Country will be there from start to finish to bring you all the latest news.
This year, H&C will be hosting an exclusive LIVE stream of all five days of Badminton! H&C is the only place you can watch all of the action in Australia, and it’s an event that’s not to be missed. Our coverage begins on Wednesday 2nd May, where your favourite riders will be taking part in the trot-up and getting ready for the week’s competition. Thursday and Friday will host the technical Dressage section, while Saturday has many people’s favourite part of the event – the Cross Country. After the thrills and spills of the major day at Badminton, things get heated in the Show Jumping ring on Sunday, as the top riders battle it out for a place on the podium.
The Aussie contingent features Olympian Sam Griffiths; international event rider and previous Badminton winner Paul Tapner; crowd favourites Warren Lamperd and Bill Levett; as well as the legendary Lucinda Green’s very talented daughter Lissa Green.
Exclusive preview show
Last year was thrilling as always, with kiwi Andrew Nicholson finally achieving a win after 37 attempts in 33 years.
The tough cross-country saw a number of top riders run into problems. It was Eric Winter’s first year as course designer and he didn’t hold his punches. Out of 80 starters, only 32 went clear, 32 were retired or eliminated and only Tim Price and Michael Jung managed to make it home inside the time.
So what has Eric planned for this year? You can find out in our EXCLUSIVE half-hour preview show, which is available now for subscribers.
Viewers are able to watch all phases of the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials 2018 LIVE and EXCLUSIVE on H&C, starting with the horse inspection on Wednesday 2nd May.
How to watch
The LIVE stream is available via the H&C website and mobile apps (iOS and Android) exclusively.
