Horse & Country is excited to announce Rudall Rides With… is returning for a third series, starring some top equestrians.
This popular TV series is a talk show with a difference, as it takes place on horse back. You get to see the riders in their natural environment, which creates a relaxed, but revealing interview, as they talk about their lives, their sport and their ambitions.
Exciting line up
There are six episodes to watch, which go out every Sunday at 9pm from 16 September. Here’s the line up:
Mary King: eventing superstar Mary has represented Britain at six Olympics, winning two team silvers and team bronze. She has also won two team golds and one silver at the World Equestrian Games, as well as four team golds and a team bronze at the European Championships.
Alice Plunkett: racing journalist and TV presenter Alice is a former eventer and National Hunt jockey and the only woman to have ridden at both Badminton Horse Trials and the Grand National. She is also married to eventer William Fox-Pitt, with whom she has four children.
Suzanna Hext: Para-dressage rider Suzanna won three gold medals at the 2017 Europeans on her championship debut. The former two-star eventer had a riding accident in 2012, which left her paralysed from the legs down. She was back on a horse within two years and now has her eye on the 2020 Para Olympics.
Shane Breen: International showjumper Shane is a regular face on Ireland’s Nations Cup teams. He is currently enjoying a career high, with a team of top horses, and recently won the Global Champions Tour Grand Prix in Monaco. Shane is based at Hickstead, where he lives with his wife Chloe Bunn and their four children.
Izzy Taylor: Izzy was the second highest ranking event rider in Britain last year and is currently 14th in the FEI World rankings. She has ridden for her country on a number of occasions and was selected for the 2016 Rio Olympics with Allercombe Ellie, but sadly the mare was withdrawn due an injury.
Tim Price – Tim is currently ranked the fourth best event rider in the world. He has enjoyed a number of podium places at the biggest five-star competitions, including a win at Luhmuhlen in 2014, second at Burghley and Kentucky in 2015, and third at Badminton in 2017. He also made history at the Rio Olympics as the first husband and wife on the same team, alongside Jonelle.
Rudall Rides with Mary King premieres on Sunday 16 September at 9pm. It is then on every Sunday until 21 October.
